The Rambler Single Fin

The Rambler. One who walks for pleasure, typically without a definite route. Before this board was conceived, I had no idea that It would live up to its namesake so well.

Running Bling

“NEV-ER.” That was my instinctive response when asked to go for a “joy” run.  Forget trying to run over a mile.  Body parts jiggled, legs hurt, and breathing was impossible.  The mile run for the Kure Beach Lifeguard tryout would haunt me for weeks before and pain me for days after. One of my calls tags was “I am not a runner.” Then, I moved to Charleston. Like many of life’s adventures (unless you dare to adventure with Thomas Cannon) I set out with a plan.  I told Thomas sometime last year that I wanted to run a half marathon.  I did a lot of talking about it but didn’t set my plan into motion until several months later when...

The Blue Twin-Fin

There is this board shaper in Hampstead, NC. Greg Eavey Instagram: @eavey_surfboards. There are lots of small time shapers, but this guy’s work is something special. Greg is a modest guy who shapes in a rusted out warehouse that floods under...

We thought it would be simple to avoid the crowds and pick a desolate spot to watch the event of a lifetime, weather permitting.

X Marks the Spot

You found it!  Weather you have hiked the Appalachian or dug your toes down deep into the miles of coastline, the East Coast has an essence that makes a mark.  The idea of creating a brand that celebrated mysterious history, rugged adventurers, and fearless individuals was conceived mile after mile on a road trip.  My husband, Thomas and I grow up on the Carolina beaches, and in the summer of 2015 we planned a road trip from Florida to Maine because we wanted to be able to say we had experienced the whole East Coast. Mile after mile, we kept seeing bits and pieces of our wondrous coastline.  On our return to Charleston, Pirates & Mermaids was born.  A brand that...
